three day blindfold window peace with kiran jandu, linda montano, and more
From March 18–20, Kiran Jandu will engage in seven-hour daily sequences of chakra-based meditation within the window, joined by Philadelphia-based artists who enter the space to contribute gestures of presence and relational exchange. On March 20, Linda Montano will perform her Blindfold Window Peace, returning to a work that frames duration and restriction as tools for reorienting perception and ethical awareness. Reflecting on this practice, Montano has described the blindfold as a way of shifting attention away from visual dominance toward time, sensation, and internal discipline.
a month long series of fifteen durational peace performances in a gallery window
For the month of April 2025, we will occupy the window of APE Gallery in Northampton, MA in a collective performance peace. Each womxn will perform in the window for a day: working, weaving, grieving, playing. Window Peace 2025 is an homage to Susan Kleckner and the womxn of Window Peace 1986. For the entire year, 40+ womxn occupied an NYC storefront window for a week each in a durational peace vigil. In this lineage, we weave web of resistance.
