window peace is a series of performances in windows
Window Peace is a living anarchive is homage to Susan Kleckner and the 40+ womxn of Window Peace 1986. In this lineage, we weave a web of resistance with the 40+ womxn who occupied a New York City storefront window for a week each for an entire year.
A three-day blindfold window peace performance with Linda Montano and friends. The 40th anniversary of Window Peace was celebrated alongside the Raw Material: Susan Kleckner retrospective at Haverford.
For the month of April 2025, the window of APE Gallery in Northampton, MA was occupied as collective peace vigil. Fifteen womxn performed for a work day - weaving, grieving, playing, moving.
